SPEED CONCEPTS RACING LOOKS TO CONTINUE LAS VEGAS WINNING STREAK

SUPERNATIONALS 24

t's the final big event on the North American karting calendar for 2021 and one that everyone wants to win. Speed Concepts Racing (SCR) and SpeedLab Racing Engines are back in Las Vegas this week for the annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals and have their sights set high after winning a pair of classes and scoring four podium results less than one month ago in the same city. Taking on the temporary circuit on the grounds of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, SCR will bring six drivers for a total of nine entries to SuperNats 24.

"Our race team is successful, and our engine program is rocking as well so we are anxious and excited to get started on another week of racing," expressed Mike Speed. "We have a talented group of drivers, and I think we can win multiple classes here. We were fast at the SuperNats in 2019, great in Las Vegas for the ROK event a few weeks ago, so we definitely have our goals set high."

A trio of drivers will make up six entrants for Speed Concepts Racing as Ayden Ingratta, G3 Argyros and Alex Mercado will compete in both X30 Junior and KA100 Junior this weekend. Ingratta has racked up countless race wins, podium results and championships in 2021, and G3 had one of his best performances a month ago on a temporary circuit in Las Vegas. Alex Mercado is back with the SCR program after taking on the final United States Pro Kart Series event of the season and will look to lean on the knowledge of his team and teammates at one of the country's biggest karting events.

X30 Senior driver Jack Jeffers, who leveled up to the Senior ranks only two races ago, was in contention for the win in both of his starts to date will look to carry that momentum into SuperNats 24. A young driver who is hungry to win, Jeffers will be joined by Canadian Ryan MacDermid who will be making his second start with the Florida based program this month.

Multi-discipline driver Mathias Ramirez will trade in his single speed IAME powerplant for a six-speed gearbox engine as he is set to do battle in the KZ class. Another front-running SCR driver, Ramirez could shock the shifter kart category with his outright speed and if luck is on his side, could bring Speed Concepts Racing their first SuperNats win in KZ.

Speed Concept Racing drivers will take to the track on Wednesday as they progress through the week with Super Sunday as their goal. Looking to methodically qualify at the front and stay at the front of the field, or move their way through the field towards the front, all eyes will be on Sunday's main event where each driver will have their chance to be crowned a SuperNationals winner.
