TWO WINS AND FOUR PODIUMS FOR SPEED CONCEPTS RACING

USPKS

It was another winning weekend for Speed Concepts Racing at the third and fourth rounds of the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS). Taking on the New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) in Spiceland, Indiana, Ayden Ingratta and Scott Roberts earned victories while Jack Jeffers secured a pair of podium results and three top-five finishes.

Always a threat to top the podium blocks in whichever series they compete in, the Speed Concepts Racing program came prepared to race in Indiana. With pace shown late in Friday's practice session, that speed carried into Saturday's wheel-to-wheel racing where they scored both of their wins.

Finishing first and second on track in the X30 Pro Junior class, Jack Jeffers looked to earn his first victory since rejoining the SCR program as he and Ayden Ingratta finished nose to tail. Following post-race penalties, Jeffers was docked two positions for an on-track incident handing the win to Ingratta as the pair both remained on the podium, now in first and third. Jeffers would return Sunday to claim another top-five finish with a fourth-place effort while scoring the fastest lap of the race after being relegated outside the top-twenty after first corner contact. Ingratta returned and finished just outside the top-ten in 12th and had comparable pace to the top-five drivers. Pulling double duty on the weekend, Jeffers also saw battle in the KA100 Junior class. Fighting at the front of the field throughout Saturday, Jack had to settle for the runner-up position.

Perennial front runner Scott Roberts climbed to the top step of the podium in the X30 Masters class as he steadily improved throughout the day to earn the win. Looking to double up on his win total over the weekend, Roberts ran well inside the top-three in the main event before contact relegated him down the order to a tenth-place result.

Competing in the X30 Pro class, multi-time podium winner in 2021 Mathias Ramirez had a trying weekend in Indiana. With the highlight of his even being a 20th place finish in Saturday's main event, Ramirez was a victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time on so many on track scenarios.

G3 Argyros had a solid performance in Saturday's KA100 Junior race as he has shown huge strides of improvement since joining the Speed Concepts Racing program. Climbing his way up the results sheets, G3 earned himself a 12th place finish on Saturday, a solid result for the competition in the USPKS program. Micro Swift driver David Ramirez continues to log track time and trust in the SCR philosophy and coaching as he continues to improve. Taking in every opportunity to get behind the wheel, Ramirez has closed the gap to the leader and will be a threat as he continues his upward trend.

Two newcomers joined the SCR program this weekend as the cousin duo of Felipe Benito and Santiago Benito would take on the stout fields of competition at the USPKS. Santiago battled in the X30 Pro ranks scoring a pair of 28th place results while his younger cousin Felipe saw action in Mini Swift with a best finish of 26th on Saturday. Taking some time to get accustomed to the Speed Concepts Racing way, the Benitos will be battling at the front of the field in no time.

"A huge thank you to the USPKS and New Castle Motorsports Park staff on another great event," expressed Mike Speed. "It never ceases to amaze me on the competition that this program and facility bring in. We have to be on our game to win here and though Sunday's results were not what we would have hoped for, we leave the event with two more wins, four podiums and our focus on the next event."
